Well to those out there, like me, I can tell you that the idea of buying an artificial tree is just scary when it's not there in front of you. We have visited all the stores and even the trees at costco for $400 were "not" what we were looking for. If we are going to spend the money, we wanted it to just say WOW!
We were very disappointed with everything we saw and then went on-line. This only made things worst, going by what little info and pictures out there- which prompted me to write this feedback.
We first had a major discussion on the size of the tree- 6.5,7.5, or 9 ft, costs go up very quickly but this is going to be around for a long time so, let's do this right. The 7.5 would of worked but after seeing these sizes in the store, this was just not enough so we decided to go for the 9 footer.
Green, or flocked???? After going around at it, we went flocked. We saw many flocked trees at the stores and, well, you can see why people don't get them- UGH!!!!!!!

Note- they have diff sizes and diff light configurations, but the multi-color and G50 lights are amazing.
We saw many other sites giving reviews on the Vickerman trees/ and service, which not the same for other mfgs, many nightmares are posted I will give you this. But from "Christmas tree for me", the communication was just incredible ( no I am not associated with them, just want people to know there is good businesses out there). Their price was the best- period, knock yourself out trying to correct me. They send emails on status and tracking info. They are double boxed for protection which is nice.
Anyway, they emailed and called about the delivery, it actually came faster than we were even told (4 days!) Now comes the key part, it arrived in two boxes, unlike many nightmares out there with tree boxes missing.
Boxes were then opened and I reviewed the instructions and all the contents. This tree came with the G50 lights which I opened all the boxes to inspect to ensure no breakage- they ship these bulbs "off" the tree to prevent damage, and this I can understand. Everything was perfect. Each piece is labeled (5 tree sections/ not so bad).
Instructions- simple, a stand and 5 parts to the tree that slide into each other. The sections are heavy, the tree weighs ~120 pounds, this is both good and bad? Each sections weighs ~20+ pounds.
The stand opens nicely and a Eye bolt threads in to lock it in place, simple,, it is even on caster wheels which I totally missed and a nice feature. Next, you open and slide the bottom section into the stand, slides in nicely, and then the branches actually fall down into place,,, you can tweak them later.
I installed the G50 lights into each section before placing on the stand, if you get the flocked tree, finding the sockets is an easter egg hunt for sure and much easier at ground level-The flocking is REALLY-REALLY THICK! I actually cut a small hole in the box the tree arrived in and stuck the tree sections into this hole allowing me to rotate it- NICE!!! Once the G50's were in place, I dropped the section into the stand, they have tags showing where you plug the light cords into for the entire tree (only 4 plugs to piggyback into the supplied outlets). Rest go directly into the wall (these have "step-on" on/off controllers).
Once assembled, plug in, and tweak the branches to your liking.
OVERALL- The tree was just beyond anything I could ever put in words on how incredible it looked. The needles are so realistic, along with coloration to the "wood" part to make it so real. The flocking, well it is so thick that the pictures you can find will not do it justice. We debated before buying on whether to spend the extra and get the G50 lights, but after seeing on, that question was answered very quickly. They just make the tree come alive and worth EVERY PENNY!! Don't cheap out at this point, you will not be disappointed. The quality is like nothing we saw and if read other reviews, you will find their service is just incredible.
We plugged it in to check the bulbs (before thanksgiving), left it where we wanted and I can assure you, you will be setting this tree up much sooner each year to enjoy it's beauty. What an incredible tree! Sorry for the long words, but I wish someone would of posted something to help me on this major purchase.
