Bahia Honda Blues - I spent several years living in the Florida Keys, and my favorite place to visit was Bahia Honda. The water neither appeared Carribean Blue, nor Atlantic Blue...it started as a light sage, fading into a translucent tan, and then it crescendoed into a deep royal, while cutting back to sage, white and tan. When I was young and we traveled as a family, whenever my mother saw something beautiful she referred to it as a "feast for the eyes!" Bahia Honda is truly a feast for the eyes in every sense, and my goal was to capture its essense in Bahia Honda Blues. Abstract Earth is the latest series by artist, Kristen Hotham Carroll. Using an array of vibrant acrylics, highlighted with dashes of metallics, Carroll breathes new life and energy into stunning scenes from our beautiful world.
