This chair requires some assembly, but it is not difficult. I was very disappointed when I sat in it because the back rest is concave and my lower back has no support. I wanted to return it! My husband sat in it an loves it. If you like to slouch you may like this chair. I guess it's just a matter of taste. We kept the chair for hubby, and I use the old one we have.
