Due to the lack of a decent product description I did not realize until I got home this fireplace is not made of wood, but plaster. This is not to say that it looks bad but I feel consumers should know this. The fireplace flames look real enough, it puts out decent heat and comes with a remote control. Because I purchased this from a local retailer this for less than half of what the price currently is on Amazon I would say I am happy with it.
