I've had my old mattress for too long. Like, since the mid 90s probably. A memory foam mattress is something I've been meaning to buy for about 5 years or so, but it'd always get put aside for one reason or another. And to be honest, while it was nice to lay on something so soft, it didn't feel drastically different to me. The bed arrived recently and after I set up everything, laying on it felt nice, although again, it's not a huge change that will make me swear off regular mattresses for good.

First and foremost, make sure you have someone with a sense of direction when navigating this through your home! When mine arrived, the delivery guy came alone and needed my help taking it upstairs. I guess it's hard to deliver when you've got mail impotence. The mattress arrived in a HUGE cardboard box that didn't offer a lot of protection strangely enough. Even the delivery guy hinted at taking it out of the box before going up the stairs. And I didn't know, since it's not pictured or even listed in the product description, but the foundation was included with the shipment! This threw me off and I wasn't prepared to have even more space taken up in my hallway while I was getting the old mattress and foundation out of my room. Just be prepared in case this is the norm.

The first thing I noticed about the mattress is the smell- kind of a lemony scent lingered in the room for a day before it started to fade away. The entire mattress is very soft, as expected, and it felt nice to lay on. I'm not used to laying on anything like this, and have only tried out memory foams in stores on a few occasions. There's only so many ways I can tell you that it's soft and comfortable. It's also much bigger than I expected, going almost above the rail at the end of my bed frame. My daughter has a little trouble climbing up on the bed now, and it's only a couple of inches bigger than the old one! As far as the Air Cool feature goes, I don't notice much of a difference, just like with the pillows I've reviewed before that have the same thing.

Alright, so I don't know how to review a mattress, especially when all the main info you're wondering is listed above. I like having it, and I'm sure I'll like it more over time. I don't sound that thrilled but it's nice. My main issue is the price. There are -plenty- of quality memory foam mattresses out there that have mostly positive reviews, and they're less than 1/3 the cost of this one. If you have the money for this one, I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Why not try out a cheaper one though?
