WE have had this table for more than a year. When closed it sits four very comfortably. When open we can fit 8 comfortably and squeeze in 10 in a pinch. We have an open plan dining room and living room. This table allows us to minimize its footprint when its just our family and expand when necessary to fit our friends when entertaining.
