This is NOT worth $300. If you can find it for $160-$170 and you have a huge amount of patience then you might want to consider purchasing.

This arrived via Fed-Ex and I had to practically beg the Fed-Ex driver to help me move it into the front door. It is HEAVY. The outside of the box is encased in glued on styrofoam and then wrapped in thick plastic. Once you get the outer plastic off and the box open (you will have to fully open the box from the top because you will not get the product pieces out if you just try to get it out from either opened end) you will see that the pieces inside are all shrink wrapped together. Plan on spending 25 minutes just getting the product free from the box!

The cabinet itself is fairly easy to assemble. It helps to have a helper for this part to make sure things are straight and aligned correctly but it isn't imperative. Then comes the horror of the doors. The doors come in 4 pieces each. 2 side pieces, 1 top, 1 bottom. They attach with a dowel/screw combo. The top and bottom of each door is intended to be secured to the side pieces of the door by the dowel and 5 inch screw. Here is the problem: The provided screws are CRAP. It stripped out immediately. Don't even attempt to secure this screw into the side door frame until you drill the pre-drilled hole a little further than its original depth. If you don't the provided screw will halt with 1/2" to 1" to go. You will need to have on hand a screw extractor. Have an entire kit. Try to find quality 5 inch screws from the hardware store (good luck) and throw away the included 5 inchers.

I gave up on the screw part of the door frame and opted for double dowels and wood glue instead. I won't be opening the doors a lot so hopefully my method will work fine. The hinge installment is tricky. You will definitely benefit from having a helper with this part.

The cabinet itself is fairly nice. I think it is too nice to put in a garage. I am using mine as a bathroom storage and have it positioned as a faux divider wall between the toilet and the sink area. The back of this cabinet is just cardboard so I will be getting wood trim to attach to the back. The oak color is fairly true to the picture. The inserts are just a corrugated plastic. You can't tell they are as cheap as they are once they are inserted in the door panels however.

Overall, this isn't a bad piece of "put together yourself furniture". Just be prepared to make some of the modifications I mentioned here to save yourself some headache. Comment if you have any questions. I will update in a month or so to let you know if the extra dowel and wood glue method of putting the doors together was secure enough.
