If the clock was the same color as the picture - light walnut - I would have given it 5 stars. Unfortunately, all August Schwer "walnut" cuckoo clocks, and according to their customer service, other manufacturers', too, are all dark amber.
Other than the color, the clock is very good, works pretty much out of the box - almost no assembly needed. The shipping was insanely fast - I got it from Germany in 1 day.
