Classic Flame Sedona Fireplace in Caramel Oak Review

I actually bought this item through KeeperHome. They were courteous and efficient. They also had a "live" individual to talk to seven days a week which made my purchase easier. I would do business with them again.

The fireplace is darker than pictured - the carmel oak is very close to a walnut but not quite the midnight walnut (search Classic Flame Savannah for a closer wood color). The unit looks / feels like an expensive piece of furniture. Overall, a nice piece of furniture.

The unit took me (middle aged male) approx 90 minutes to assemble - no power tools are needed. Although instructions indicated this was a two person build, it could be accomplished by a single individual with minor changes to the instruction manual (actually only one change at very beginning of build and involves the front face). The heaviest pieces to contend with were the front face and the mantle weighing in at about 40 lbs(?) each. The instructions were clear and each piece was marked appropriately. Again...a fairly simple 90 minute build (or in my terms...a two beer build - LOL).

I reside in Cincinnati, OH. While it is currently summer, the fireplace itself produces good heat to warm a room (the unit is in my basement, approx 24 x 12, warmed the entire room to toasty in about 10-15 minutes - this will vary in the winter months but appears will be more than adequate to take the chill off the room when temps fall). The fireplace box (the flame) is very realistic and has five different glow settings for "ambience". The unit also has a timer to allow the unit to produce heat for anywhere from 30 minutes to nine hours. Remote to control everything is included and works flawlessly.

So far...very happy with the purchase and would recommend this unit to anyone.

Classic Home Marrakesh Wool Kilim Rug, Multi, 3'6" x 5'6" Review

Shipping was great, I received it in two days. I love the colors and the pattern -- nicer in person than on line. I have many kilims and the quality of this one is not very fine. It has a scratchy, rough feel to it and the fringe at the end feels a little like hemp. I will use this one at my entry door, where they are replaced once a year as they get dirty -- so I can live with the lesser quality and the price was right. Suits my needs. Although it came rolled up, it was quite wrinkled. I thought I was going to have to try and iron it or take it to be streamed, but the rug pad I purchased was quite tacky and was able to hold it in place.
