Great colors and excellent quality! Laid flat immediately upon unpacking. Added a non-slip mat under it. At the same time I ordered two very large rugs from another company for the living areas. They are also of excellent quality, but wish I could have got the same rich colors as in my Oscar Isberian rug. Live and learn I guess.

The rug arrived ahead of schedule. It feels great, and looks beautiful - but - in the picture on the screen it appears to be kind of a garnet red; this rug is a more of a purple red, a much cooler red. I need a warmer red. I am disapppointed.

8' x 8' Round Rizzy Home Area Rug CT0916 Dark Gold Color Hand Tufted in India "Country Collection" Floral Pattern Review

The rug we received was in the Transitional Green pattern. It's very pretty. The colors are muted and would go with a wide variety of decors. (If you want to see what the rug REALLY looks like --there's currently a database error-- go to 2x3 size and pull up Transitional Green. You should see a pattern with a diagonal vine-leaves in a sort of French inspired pattern.]

Now there are generally two major points to purchasing a rug. The first is color-and-pattern and the second is price. If the color and pattern is okay for you, I can say that in my experience the price is good. My experience comes from purchasing rugs of this size from Home Depot, Lowes, and Target. Why so many carpets? I've got messy kids, dogs and a cat.

From my observations, this rug is comparable in appearance to some of the nicer rugs from the home stores, only it's better priced and better made. The home store carpets have a cut pile and are synthetic. The Rizzy Rug is WOOL and tufted. It's also nicely finished with a canvas looking sort of backing that has been made part of the carpet.

POSITIVES
--Because it's wool there was no funky smell when it was unwrapped.
--UPS guy wasn't swearing when he delivered it.
--Unrolled and looked beautiful right away. No curled edges.
--Feels good underfoot. (kids and dogs have been lolling on it ever since it arrived)
--Great price.

POSSIBLE NEGATIVE
--I've known tufted rugs in the past to not hold up as well to dogs and kid-wear as cut pile. I'll let you know how it goes. For right now no reason to downgrade this carpet.

So far, nothing but a great experience, from delivery to lolling.
