We like to consider both for our inspiration. The arms of the Montego feature curved wood components that are smooth-edged and nicely coated with either walnut or honey oak finish. We bought the full size version in Honey Oak and are very pleased. The sides are lovely finished wood while the bed frame is metal tubes. It is sturdy enough for sleeping people up to around 250 lbs and 6'2" if they lie at an angle. I'd recommend an all-wood frame and a thick mattress if you need more support. Works great for my smaller relatives, even two people.

Added a six-inch coil futon mattress by Dorel which came packed like a jelly roll and expanded to full height in a few hours. I think I might go for an eight-inch if we buy another or replace, but the six-inch one is comfortable enough for the occasional guest.

I recommend going to the manufacturer web site to look at the pdf instructions for all their frames, since you can zoom in on the illustrations and get a better idea of how to put this together. Our hinges were mislabeled left and right, but I was able to figure out how to assemble them properly from the web site. Ours came with three metal braces to place in the center of the two metal sides, which greatly improved the stability and support. They weren't mentioned in our printed instructions at all!

See photos for more comments on how to put it together. Took my husband and me about three hours, with him doing the heavy work. Did not require additional tools but a wooden mallet came in handy.

It took some time to get this cabinet; however, we ordered another piece to match. Olde Church Emporium worked with us to keep us up to date on the progress. The cabinet is absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship is evident. No pressed woods or junk materials, as so many of the products on the internet contain these days. This is solid wood with a hand painted motif. The hand painting on both pieces are very similar but just enough difference to tell that this was done by hand by an artisan.
We are extremely pleased and will be back. Supporting the work of these artisans has certainly been worth the wait.
